Default Help me before I blow my car up.

If im at a stop and the car is on, if i rev it slowly up to 3k plus the whole car shakes and the shifter rattles hardcore. what could this be? its done it for awhile. it does it when im not moving so its something motor/tranny related.

maybe something with the flywheel clutch assembly? ive changed the tranny mount and its worse, maybe the duals hitting the car?

imma bout to pull the trans out and take the whole car apart if i dont burn it down first..

Sadly, I've had this problem before. One of the bolts that were holding on the clutch came out and slamed thru my bell housing, I'd start there.

Is it with the clutch full depressed to the ground, or as you're engaging it? Could be clutch chatter...signs of a worn clutch. Mine does this occasionally to, but I'm thinking it's clutch chatter. I'm curious for an answer as well.

My car did that once. Turns out the crown of the piston on number 7 was gone. The part just above the ring. Only other symptom was oil smelled like fuel.

throw out bearing on the slave. my guess is that when the clutch is out it doesnt have room to vibrate, and when you are in neutral it will vibrate like crazy. had that problem in my t/a because the guy who owned it before me had aamco work on the transmission and they ended up re using the old slave and throw out bearing. the clutch didnt even have 200 miles on it before i had to have the trans pulled again

i would put the car up on ramps and have someone rev it for you while your underneath listening to where exactly the sounds is coming from. if its only in neutral tho im guessing its something inside your trans
