Has anybody received a ticket for having H.I.D. headlights?

I've had mine on in back of cops, and they just flash their brake lights, but never pull me over. I don't think mine are illegal, they are 5000Ks. They are bright as **** though. Usually I don't even have the headlights on because I feel sorry for the people that have to put up with the brightness in front of me, my HID fog lights at night provide enough light for me.

Technically, your setup is "illegal" because you don't have a proper cut-off for your HID's. It's just a matter of time before you get a ticket.
Ditch the ricer stuff and get this.

ROFL! 5000K has NOTHING to do with being legal/illegal.

The temperature of the bulb DOES have an affect because the higher the temperature, the different color it makes, like purple, or green (which are highly more noticeable than light blue like mine).
And yeah... if you think my HIDs are ricer... then IDK WTF you must be smoking sir, because the link you posted is the epitome of ricerness.
I'd much rather have mine:

Who the hell is gonna see the actual projector assembly while the headlights are on at night??? You realize that the headlights will be flipped down in the daytime, so no need to worry about how they look.
FYI the light output from this kit is comparable to BMW/Audi

Maybe you should venture into the Appearance & Detailing section and post up about how badass your HIDs are, NO ONE is going to prefer your setup over a retrofit projector based HID kit. At least not those who can afford it...

First of all, that kit is hideous. Second of all, why get it, if (like you say) you cannot even see them or how they look, why spend 500-800 on that kit when they can be had for way less? Third of all, do you work for them? Because you seem to be riding them pretty bad right now when their product is crap and over-priced.

You seem to really be able to afford them as well when you count EGR! and a lid as a mod! LOLZ. There was like 4 people above you that said it was crap, not only me. Go ahead and spend $800 on that crap, won't affect me one bit. I'd much rather spend my money on **** that will pull you by 20 bus lengths.

I will take hideous ANYDAY over BLINDING oncoming traffic, I'm sorry if I value other peoples lives as well as my own, maybe I'm just a decent human being
So what you're trying to tell me is that you prefer driving around in the BROAD DAYLIGHT with your head lights ON?? My point is simply that they may seem hideous to you when the headlights are popped up and the lights themselves are turned off. However, who the hell is ever going to see that? Your low beams should only be on when you need them, hence when it's dark, and no one will see the assembly of your setup.
OH SNAP, REALLY?? you've really put me in my place now, so where can I get a plug/plug projector setup that's made for my LS1 Trans Am for WAY LESS?? I've been in the LS1 scene since you were still riding your Huffy, I have yet to see another kit similar to this one.
LOL sorry junior, I don't work for them. Unlike you, I have a real job as an ENGINEER, which lets me appreciate fine technology. Having taken Physics II in college, I can understand basic optics and light concepts. Pretty sure you're the only one who thinks they're "crap," why don't you go ahead and poll the readers in the Appearance & Detailing section if you want to be put in your place.
