Chevy needs to take tips from Ford
for design...
We have all seen the new 2012 explorer
I think that most people like the New Explorer... I never hear anyone say its ugly.
here is the 2013 Fusion
and the 2013 Escape

Maybe its just me but i think ALL the new Ford lineup looks great. I would love to see Chevy up their design game. Even KIA is coming out with some great looking designs.
According to Car and Driver every part of the Ford Fusion's LUXURY PACKAGE interior is completely upholstered and/or covered.

The explorer reminds me a lot of my wifes parents new Ford edge. Just bigger, its cool looking and cool on The inside but, after being in a 2012 tahoe and a 2012 gmc truck my dad had bought the interior feels cheap in the fords. Just cheaper leather and plastic. But thats my opinion, to each and there own

I'll be upgrading to the 2012 explorer limited after retail drops some. Currently have the 2010 Ford escape limited for my woman and we dig it. It's my first Ford vehicle and the interior is much better than Chevy.

I mean they are nice but they are nothing speacial. Chevy may not have the aesthetics but the other gm cars do, like the lacrosse and the regal not to mention Cadillac. That's just my .02.

Glad to see another non blind eyed GM loyalist. I prefer Ford vehicles over GM cars, except for the exception of the Fbody camaro(vs the sn95 mustangs) and vettes(ford doesn't have a 2 seat sports car in the price range). Probably why my work van is a Ford and I'll be replacing it soon with another Ford, and buying my fiancee a new Explorer instead of an X3.

HEHE, I always thought of the Fusion as a Ford Escort. Times have changed that is for sure. To bad it wasn't rear wheel drive and had the 5.0 in it.

I am a big GM fan like many others here but I do agree that Ford has really stepped up its design game overall while GM seems to change little of its styling with Chevy. The 2013 Malibu hardly looks any different from the current one for example, the Impala hasnt changed in years....Cruze looks nice though and the Volt looks good I think but the rest is stale.

The Explorer makes me think of a more modern design on the FJ. I also think the Fusion resembles an Aston.
It isn't just design. GM lacks in technology. They need to quit shoving On Star and XM on everyone. I'd rather have HD radio and wireless control and playing for my ipod.

I hate to say it, but I'll probably end up getting a Ford Flex Titanium for the wifey. We test drove one loaded like she wants and it was pretty damn sweet. It moved really well with that boosted 3.5........

And Ford needs to take notes from GM on how to design a simpler engine. Almost all of their motors from the 2000's to now, are way more complex/difficult to work on than they need to be.
That alone is enough to keep me away from them, I do my own work on my vehicles so that is a big consideration for me.
