Whats considered high mileage on a bike?
I'm looking into getting a bike for weekends and I'm not sure what is considered high mileage for a bike. Just as an example, found a 2000 R6 w/ 14k miles, would this be considered high miles?

30k miles on a bike is commonly associated with 100k car miles. On that scale it's only halfway through its lifespan.
As previously said, if you're considering this for a first bike, that will do the trick fine. Dont get a nice bike, because you're going to drop it and probably destroy it.

It will be a first bike, I've rode dirt bikes my whole life but this will be a first street bike, now for the price, i can get it for $3800, does this sound ok, includes a helmet and jacket. Never been down, one light scratch on it.

You might be able to find a F3 or F4 cheaper but for sure get what you feel comfortable on.

May need a valve inspection/adjustment at that mileage. Also, depends on how the owner treated it before. Not reving it while its cold or jumping on it and gunning it. Or just plain reving it of the rev limiter for no reason. If its been abused, often it may be or soon lose 2nd gear.
