Default favorite/best steakhouse?

we usually go out to saltgrass (down the street) or steak and ale. i like s&a's kensignton.

i want to try some others. i've never been to outback. didn't really like texas land & cattle, i had a really shitty cut last time i went there.

Outback isnt very good. If you are into good food and dont mind spending some coin and dressing up you could try Vic and Anthonys downtown by the Ballpark, or Kirbys in the woodlands.

Outback > Saltgrass imo. Go to dwntwn and try Vic and Anthonys. Kind of pricey, but the portions are large.

I'm a big fan of Taste of Texas. Pricey, but I've never had a bad steak there.

I have heard that place Killen's in Pearland is pretty amazing.

Read the "Chef Killen" section.

hmmmm...we'll have to try that some time. Thanks for the tip!

If you're in the Kerrville area, there is a place called Cafe Riverstone that we went to when we were in Bandera a few weeks ago. I had the sirloin and it was amazing. http://www.caferiverstone.com/

Also, I hear great things about Perry's. I buy meat from them sometimes, when I want to grill something special.
