Default What Material Would You Use?

Hey All!

I've been getting curious with a few things that would require some 'budget fabrication', and need your input!

If you were going to make a do it yourself front splitter, rear diffuser, or underbody tray, what material would you use?

I'd like to stay away from fiberglass, because I don't have the tools or time to learn how to 'glass right now.

I was thinking of something that is easily cuttable/bendable, like regular sheet metal, or the same type of plastic that the stock airdam is made of...

What do you guys think.... what would YOU use?

if your on a budget go to a speedshop that supplies Allstar products and get a 4'X8' sheet of utility aluminum normally used to build circle track car bodies(dirt latemodel) its like 90 bucks for the sheet easy to work with and you can get almost any colour you want

Sure more pics. I never did a write up but I did post a thread on here.

Under side of spltter

Front side of rear pan

I used 10/32 screws/nuts on the front to hold the chin spoiler. Same with the pan under it except there is nut plates in the leading edge of the aluminum peice for the chin spoiler to attach to.

The rear is attached with 10/32 nut plates pretty much everywhere. Except on the right side gas tank strap where I had to weld a piece to it to attach the upper portion of the pan.

That's awesome... so what did you use for the grill block-off and fog light block-offs?

And as an aside, what rear end are you running?
