LS1Tech Military Section Just posting up an idea. I know of SEVERAL military personel on this site, i think it would be nice to set up a section for us. Since i have owned my LS1 car, i have been a member here.. in that time i have moved to 5 different states.. so i cant stay in any of the "Regional Forums" for very long.. Would be nice to have a section that us military people could call home. I would be willing to donate my time to help with it if it did get started up.. Just an Idea.. WHAT DO YOU THINK??

There's quit a few F-bodies around here on base and downtown it'd be nice who uses this site in my area.

It's been discussed before. The main reason we don't have it is it will become a Polictical area. We try to limit political discussions because they always go off-course and turn into Bitch fests.
I'll shoot John a PM and see what he thinks. If it would happen (not too likely. this is a car site), then the Moderators would have their hands full keeping an eye on it.

a military section is just asking for trouble.
this site is not a place for people to just chat with others, its a technical car site. just hang out in the regional sites where you're stationed. like richie said, there's really no way to avoid the political chatter in a section like that, sorry guys.
i'm ex-army myself, so i feel for ya, but thats just the reality of things. maybe it will change since it keeps coming up, but i doubt it. i've been wrong before tho

Well, the main reason i wanted to do this is because it kinda sucks changing regional forums ever 2 years or so... Like now, there is no Hawaii regional forum, so we just use the west coast... The Other reason i would like to have it is because people in that section will be military, there are ALOT of rules and Regulations concerning post/base standards for vehichles that could be shared... We would also be able to discuss shops that can work on/ tune our cars that are near these post/bases.. in the military, you are always the new kid on the block and its takes awhile to find all the people, hookups, connections that the civilians who have lived in those areas for years allready know.. we would also be able to share local websites for clubs near Posts/Bases.. My intention was absolutly not related to any type of Political Debates, for the most part, military see eye to eye on most topics anyways... we have a job to do, we do it,.... we have a president, we support him... end of story.. But its all ok if we cant get it, we addapt and overcome.. thanks for the support from those who supported the Idea.

sounds good to me, i guess theres allways someone not on the same page i dont under stand what the problem would be.
