So you think 315's would fit out back with a 10.5" wheel like the Z06 Motorsport? I'm just concerned with the safety of a 315 on a 10.5. I would certainly like 315's if at all possible (willing to do BFH/fender roll/etc), but am not willing to risk a blow out because I was retarded in trying to fit too big of tires on the wheel.

I would never suggest anything out of manufacture specs . . .

A 315/35ZR17 fits a 10.5" to a 12.5" wheel
A 315/30ZR18 fits a 10.5" to a 11.5" wheel . . . . FYI

Seriously take advantage of all the great info at www.tirerack.com under the "specs" tab on the tire of your choice it tells you all sorts of good things to know.

I'll check it out.

Too bad the GS-D3's don't come in 315/30/18 Looks like my next best option is the BFG T/A DR's but I'm a bit concerned about how they handle in the rain. The last thing I need on my 500rwhp daily driver is a tire that sucks in the rain.

What's the biggest the GS-D3's and BFG T/A KDW2's come in?

Ok, I couldn't find any info on this. I put a turbo on my car, but it already had 4.11s is it, which is too big of a gear. I currently run 275/40R17s and I think 275/50R17s would be about like going back to 3.42s. Would they fit? BTW I have the SS chrome wheels from SLP.

Yup, I know. I wish they made GSD3's in a width >295. THe widest they make them in 18 inch is 295 which is ideally for a 10.5 in wide wheel, but I guess it would fit an 11 inch wheel.

The Dick Harrell Supercars have an 18x12 wheel in the back with (I believe) 335-35-18 Michellin Pilot Sports. I dont know how good of a tire taht is. I've been a Goodyear **** for 18 years

Your ABS won't be happy . . . . Due to the major diff in the tire OD.

I had no idea this would be an issue. I thought if I changed the values in the HPtuners and programmed it in, that it would be ok. It was a crazy idea anyway I guess...

Not a crazy idea, it's just the design of the F-Car ABS when the tires are +/- 1/2" in diameter, the ABS sences the rotational speed of the rfront and rear tires are different, and "thinks" something is wrong. There is no wat to re-program this. Corvettes on the other hand were designed that way.

Wondering if these kind of firebird wheels will fit on the back of my Camaro. Id think they would be too small. Just asking because my friend has a set of them that we want to burn off.

I should be getting my wheels back next week from having them widened from 8" to 10.5" and I will be running 315-30-18's. I'm just wondering what size spacers i might need and/or possible longer studs. I was following the thread and i still feel somewhat lost when it comes to properly fitting tires.

I would look up the specifics the tire manufacturer recommends, for the brand tire you plan on using. For 315's, I have always read that 11" was the recommended width. I know you could probably get by just fine with 305's.

Up to you totally. I would look up the tire manufacturer's recommendations to be on the safe side.

Not sure the F-Cars back then had goofy offsets . . .

Best bet to determine the spacer size . . . test fit the wheels and measure . . .
