Question (BFG G-force R1 VS. Hoosier R6) for 18*9.5 Z06s

heey guys..

just wondering about those DOTs??
do any in this forum use them??
and what do u think about them??
BTW its gonna be on 18X9.5 ZO6s,, its not a DD, just a weekend toy for street racing

These are both dedicated road race tires. So besides the very quick wear, you will probably lose more (street) launch & 60' from the UBER stiff sidewalls, than you will gain from the "as sticky as a DR" compound.That is, IF(street) launch/60' is ALL you are after (like 99.99999% of everyone else on here!).

i think M/T dont make stickys or non-radial tires for 18'' ??!!
i think they make just street Radial
do u mean M/T Sportsman S/R?!!

no body here rolling on those rubber??!!!
ok if no one know any thing about those,, can u advice me what is the best sticky rubber for 18" ?!
its ok radial or non-radial tires,, cuz its not a DD

nitto 305/35 or 305/45 if you dare.. both in 18. bfg drag radial in 295/35 and 315/30.

The Ford GT guys are using the Hoosier R6 because no one makes a 19" DR. Viper owners are also using them with some success.

Maybe they work somewhat because the "squat" of the independant rears on those cars compensate for the super stiff, NO wrinkle sidewalls??

Are you saying your suspension doesn't work? lol

Solid rears squat too, they wouldn't be so good for drag racing if they didn't.

Of course solid rears squat, but the indies squat too much (most of the time, in most cases). This is what I was inferring. We're only talking about launch here, BTW.
