I had some infinity speakers in the trans before I switched to cdt comps. They are great speakers non the less hell I had 2 pairs in the car, just wanted a little bit strong speaker when I put a complete system in.

Yeah im not to big on crazy stereo's dont plan on doing anything crazy. I have had my car for 4 years with 4 blown speakers that i have to keep the base down on and they sound fine with light bump any higher they will rattle. I wanted something that sound better then 125,000 mile stock speakers and have little more thump to it. lol

Never, ever touch 3-way car speakers. Kenwood speakers aren't good, but of the two, go for the 2-ways.
Edit: Oh, one's Infinity... still not a fan of them, but 2-way wins.

yeah gotta go with infinity Kappas, or get some kickers.. they sounds great and are probably cheaper... I dont trust anything that bestbuy sells for car audio seeing as it isnt ever really the best stuff...

Guess what? Infinity and Kicker is the type of not-so-good stuff that BB sells.

If your car has a Monsoon system (most do) then you will be installing coaxial speakers in the doors where the original system had components (separate mid and tweeter). And you will be installing coaxials in the sail panels where the original system had SUBS! The signal is filtered by the Monsoon amp for each speaker location and those Infinity speakers will sound like crap in the sail panels because they will get nothing but low frequency signal they're not designed to handle.
On the other hand, if your car has only the base audio system (look for lack of hatch speakers that were only available with Monsoon) then you have no amp or signal filtering to worry about so those speakers will work okay.

My car is a 99 came with 6 speakers and no CD changer. Its a Z28 that came with cloth and only power options were windows and driver seat. When i installed the JVC head unit the sound got way way better So. Also when i had my spare tire out i dont recall seeing anything on the finder well other then that factory alarm box. im sure i dont have Monsoon.
