I need help?????
Ok so my stereo i have a pioneer deck and i have no clue what kind of speakers they were in the car when i bought it. So ill be driving along and if i hit a bump sometimes the right side door speaker shuts off then sometimes comes on again. I dont know if maybe its a loose wire or what. Also sometimes the stereo its self will just shut off while i am driving. Anyone know were i should look?

I'm sure everyone who viewed this thread was thinking the same thing...pull the right door panel off and check for loose or damaged connections. Then pull the head unit and look for loose or damaged connections there. We can offer advice but at some point you have to start testing things.

I wonder if the two issues are related or not...
Seems odd that sometimes your entire stereo shuts off, while other times it's just the right door speaker.
Usually people who have problems with the stereo shutting off entirely had bad or loose BCM connections. How long does the stereo stay off for when it's shut off? What about the speaker? Next time the stereo shuts off (if it doesn't just flash on and off) try using your power windows, see if they work (bad BCM power/ground connection would also effect your power windows at the same time and this is a fairly common problem).

I agree. The fact that it's an aftermarket HU makes me think that there may be a problem with a couple of the wire splices behind the HU. At least it's a good place to start looking.
