Learn How Not to Drift a Camaro Z/28

The last generation Chevy Camaro Z/28 is perhaps one of the finest road cars ever built. The way it makes you feel as you shift through the gears, slam racing curbs, and unleash the titanic power of its dry sump LS7 V8 is definitely one of my fondest memories of recent years. It’s made to take corners. It’s made to conquer race tracks. It’s made to make you feel like a hero. And in all respects, it does that well beyond what anyone at Chevy could have imagined.

However, the Camaro Z/28 is still a hugely powerful car, and has the ability to bite you in the butt if you don’t treat it with respect. Even with super sticky, near race level tires, it can get squirrely and potentially turn you around. Just as this owner recently found out.

As you can see, the owner of the Camaro Z/28 heads out onto the street, then tries to drift, but with so much grip, the car snaps back and forth and the driver barely saves it. Barely. Seriously, if you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t do it, and especially don’t do it on the street.
