Can Coilovers Actually Make a 30-Year-Old Station Wagon Drive Like a Sports Car?

By -

In Part 4 of our LS3 Roadmaster Wagon Project, we install QA1 coilovers and control arms as well as a Hotchkis front-end steering kit!

We’ve got a fun one for you this week, folks. Progress on our 1992 Buick Roadmaster build project continues with some major suspension changes. With a little discount help from our friends at Summit Racing, we installed QA1 upper and lower street control arms (QA1 52718 & QA1 52720), which modernize the car’s steering geometry. We also added a set of front and rear single-adjustable coilovers (QA1 GS507-10450C & QA1 RCK52384) which make both the ride height and handling qualities adjustable. And last but not least we installed a Hotchkis steering rebuilt kit and tie rod sleeves (Hotchkis Sport Suspension 1612 & Hotchkis Sport Suspension 34070010) because all the bushings on the 92 were pretty worn.

Then we set out to test the results which, as you may recall, also include a QA1 front sway bar and Hotchkis rear sway bar. What do you think of the results? Was it worth the money?
