Chevy Camaro Has Not One, but TWO Tricks up Its Sleeve

By -

Camaro owner double-checks the list of requirements in order to break the current world record.

Some folks like to supercharge their motors, and others like to bolt on a massive turbocharger and call it a day. Others such as the owner of this sixth-gen Camaro, choose to go a different route and employ two power-adding solutions instead.

This video courtesy of BigKleib34 takes us to ZMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, where we get to see a rather unique and beautiful Camaro do its thing trying to crush a quarter-mile world record. While it’s not clear which specific class/bracket he’s chasing after, we do find out that the official time to beat is 8.89 seconds.

Camaro

Under the hood of this beast you’ll find an extremely clean 376 ci motor with a massive Holley High-Ram intake manifold sitting atop. That pretty intake is being forcefed boost and nitrous. Note that the owner had to modify the hood in order to let it slightly peek through. Thankfully, all modifications have been done tastefully and the Camaro looks the part, complete with chrome wheels and a thick belt-line in black.

As both parties line up for one of the many runs featured in this video, we witness the second power adder this Camaro rocks in the form of a nitrous shot. Thanks to the darkness of night and the massive lights beating on the hood of the Camaro, the visual effect looks pretty darn cool.

Will the driver beat the record he’s chasing after? Watch and find out!
