I’ve heard enough people (who haven’t even seen it in person yet) complain that the digital gauge cluster on the new C7 is played-out and more of a step back to the C4 than a leap forward. Well, they’re wrong. Because the new high-tech dash in the C7 is chock full of info and the digital bar-style tachometer (the source of many complaints) isn’t the only type of tach, it can be switched to an analog style face with programmable shift points based on engine temp or user settings.

Of course it has the typical radio station and temperature readouts, but it’s also got plenty more info like tire temperatures, G-forces, track times, acceleration time results, shift lights and a lot more. Sure, there’s something to be said for a mechanical tachometer, but the new C7 dash is proof the digital age isn’t the end of the world for hot-rod gauge clusters, in fact, it’s a nice step forward.

After watching the video, what are your thoughts on the C7 display?
