So, what is your first thought of a challenger to the Ferrari FF; a shooting brake car that kind of holds four people, has all-wheel-drive, a 650-horsepower V12, and is a Ferrari? How about an Olds Vista Cruiser Wagon?

Wait, it’s not just a normal Vista Wagon, it’s a Lingenfelter built and owned Vista Wagon. So you know it’s going to be stout, plush, and loud. Hagerty decided to put both up to the test with their Generation Gap series these were the two chosen for “Family Crusiers”. Who comes out on top?

First, let’s see what’s powering this Olds Vista Cruiser Wagon. With Lingenfelter owing and building this car, of course it had to have a supercharged LS3 that pumps out 650-horsepower to the crankshaft. It rides on an air suspension, uses a six-speed transmission, and looks awesome beyond the classic looks of the Vista Wagon.

The Ferrari FF is an AWD screamer that has a “flappy-paddle” manual behind its V12 engine and certainly has the looks that are typical for the Ferrari brand. However, to call it a family cruiser is a bit much when the leg room in the back is, well, not really there.

So, while the guys of Generation Gap do score each one, it’s up to the audience to vote, so be sure to cast on for the Vista but we’ll admit a bias there. Vote here.
