Swapping a LS V8 into a V8 third generation Camaro or Firebird should be easy, right? Check out this video to find out the hurtles of getting it done right.

The third-gen F-Body cars, the Camaro and Firebird, have not aged well. Specifically, the 305 cubic-inch V8 is a relic best left in the past. The modern LS V8 has come a long way from the older Small Block Chevy. So, a lot of third generation owners are looking at adding the modern tech and tune-ability of the LS V8 as an easy way to add power to their cars. The process would seem to be pretty straight forward if you are starting with a V8 third gen. However, as we all know, not everything is as easy as it seems.

As you will see watching the video he has also put in the time and made the mistakes in doing his swap. He goes through and points out how the somewhat simple swap can turn into a nightmare if you don’t use the right parts.
