Hot or Not? 2005 Kia Sorento Chevy 468 Swap
We are all about swapping in LS motors into crazy things here at LS1Tech. We love the invariably crazy, zip tied together, home built ridiculousness that is on every other street here in America.
I mean, seriously, you can find at least two different LS motor swaps within a ten mile radius of your house right now.
However, there is a “weird limit” that sometimes we don’t really think should happen. This might be one of those times.
Here we have a 2005 Kia Sorento LX. When new, it was terrible. It didn’t ride well, it was cramped, the engine was under-powered, and the interior was worse than a Russian Gulag.
The car is just terrible. But then someone went off and slapped a 600 horsepower Chevy 468 big block engine into the front of the car for some strange reason.
We don’t really know what the conversion was that led to this unholy creation, but we’re guessing that it involved a lot of alcohol, a bet, and the words “how hard can it be.”
And right now, if you have the strange sensation that you’d actually like to see a big block Kia Sorento, then you’re in luck. Recently this abomination was up for sale on eBay and sold for $4,150. Crazy.
