Rods, Rides & Relics 2019

Enjoy over 100 carefully curated cars on a beautiful SoCal beach while supporting charity on Sunday, September 29.

We tend to focus mostly on modern muscle around these parts. But the truth is, classics also hold a special place in our hearts. And if you feel the same way, you’ll undoubtedly find the 16th annual Rods, Rides & Relics show to be one of the coolest and most unique ways to soak in some vintage iron. The event actually takes place on the Redondo Beach Pier in Redondo Beach, California, where over 100 curated cars will park for one cool day by the sea.

It all goes down on September 29 from 10 am-3 pm. And unlike most car shows out there in the world, this one features participants by invitation only. That, of course, means that the select few cars lining the pier are truly top notch. Attendees will also be able to vote for their favorite ride. Which, judging by the heated competition in recent years, looks like a rather tough task.

Rods, Rides & Relics 2019

Rods, Rides & Relics typically features cars and trucks from the ’70s and prior. So there are usually a ton of original muscle cars, of course, with loads of GM products present. Everything from Corvettes to Chevelles and everything in between. But we’ve also spotted a ton of restomods both on the pier and the surrounding area. Many of which pack LS power, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

In fact, the majority of cars present on the pier in recent years are classic Chevys with modern mechanicals. Last year’s Rods, Rides & Relics featured at least a dozen ’50s Bow Ties redone in this fashion. Each one of them was absolutely stellar as well, which is just a testament to the quality offerings this gathering attracts.

Chevrolet Bel Air

But then again, who wouldn’t want to attend a car show that takes place on a SoCal beach? Especially when it’s put on by (and benefits) the Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital? So if that sounds like your ideal way of spending a lazy Sunday morning, head on over here to register your ride or snag tickets to this long-running show!
