LS Turbo Headers

Turbo project for your Camaro, Firebird or other LS1-powered vehicle begins with these headers.

If you have been dreaming of adding a big twin turbo setup to your LS1-powered Camaro or Firebird, but you have been waiting to score a deal on the parts, here is your chance. Vengeance Racing posted this stunning set of custom, stainless steel turbo headers in the LS1Tech Marketplace after having them built for one of the shop cars. They need some finishing work, but if you are serious about adding a twin turbo setup to your LS-powered car, these headers are about as nice as it gets.

LS Turbo Header Introduction

When the representative from Vengeance Racing posted these gorgeous, custom forward-facing turbo headers for an LS engine, the following information was provided.

“These were fabbed up for our shop race car for front mount twins. We recently decided to put the turbos near the firewall, so these are available:

– For LS engines
– Fabbed for shop race car
– All 321 Stainless
– Cones inside merge collectors
– Collector outlets are 3.5 inches
– Primaries are 1.75″ ID
– Not welded (only tacked)
– Other side of v-flange not included
V-flange clamp not included”

Of course, the OP also provided the images shared here, showing the headers from a few angles, including inside of the collector.

Solid Price for a Great Product

They are asking $1,200 for these headers, which might seem like a lot of money to some people, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First and foremost, if the team at Vengeance Racing was going to put these headers on their shop car, we know that they are high quality parts. As one of the leaders in American performance, Vengeance wouldn’t run junk on a car that is being used to promote their business, so these are likely as good as it gets.

Next, the pipes are tacked in place, not welded-up, so any “massaging” needed to make these fit in your engine bay won’t be a huge headache. Whether you are build a turbocharged LS1 for a 4g Camaro or an LSX for a Fox Body Mustang, these headers could be just what you need to mount the turbos in the front of the engine bay.

While they do require some finishing work for use, anyone who is going to tear into a project like adding big twin turbos to an LS-powered car will likely plan to do a little welding. Even if you have to take them somewhere to have them finished, you know that these are a great product from a reputable seller.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
