Take a Ride Along with Tanner Foust and His LS7 Passat
When people think of a Volkswagen Passat, they normally think of a beige econobox automobile, built for the fringes of Midwest culture, a culture I was once part of, and actually I once owned a Passat. They don’t however, think of a 900 horsepower, naturally aspirated, nitrous fed drift monster.
Thankfully, Tanner Foust and his crew drank entirely too much Peyote one night, and thought that a Passat would be a great drift cars. Especially if they threw in a nitrous fed, LS7 and converted it from FWD to RWD.
I recently got the chance to meet Tanner and his amazing Passat at a local VW car show, where he not only started the monster up, but also gave me a ride that I’ll not soon forget. And to give you some perspective, I shot some video with the car while it was going sideways and improbable speeds. Take a look.
