Yeah that is correct. Although my first question should have been are you going to do this by hand or by machine? A DA polisher will net you better results than by hand.

Had a quick question. I'm about to clay bar my 02 Camaro and I was wondering I should handle polishing with flat black sunoco stripes and a flat black fill in in front of my hood scoop. Thanks in advance.

Paint or decal? Either way, I would either tape it off or polish right up to the edge.

Tape off the edges to avoid any residue from getting on them.

Thanks for the input. I thought that was the route I needed to go but I wanted to make sure.

Go the length of the stripe and not across it. The greatly reduces the chance of getting clay crammed in the edges.

Great thread. I have a single stage black paint. Recently I had my quarter spot painted but they used paint and clear so the edge of the spot were it blends to the single stage has a slight dull spot hazy a bit. Hopefully I'm clear is there anything I can do to get rid of that hazy spot permanently.

It's pretty good stuff. I just bought some not too long ago, and actually used it yesterday on the wife's BMW. I still prefer the Adams Americana Wax and Brilliant Glaze for more "high end" details.

The "35th anniversary" embroidery on both my headrests are dingy and dirty. What's a good method for getting them to look new? Thanks

short of reading thru 125 pages, whats a good (cheap) way to get up the grime that builds up in the corners of the plastic interior pieces like this pic for example.

All purpose cleaner and a tooth brush, For both of you guys questions.

Just take it slow, I would dilute the cleaner to about 1-2oz per gallon.

Locally you can find an upholstery cleaner that would work. I would recommend Meguiar's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. It works really well. I use it to clean the carpets as well. Then apply some to a microfiber towel and blot. Do not scrub with the towel or use a brush. That can remove some of the stitching.

The cleaner looks like this.

Meguiar's offer a quik interior detailer that has some light cleaning ability. You could try that. An all purpose cleaner would also work from one of the many car detailing manufacturers. You could even try a little warm water and a microfiber towel.
