It won't hurt. The purpose of the foam gun is to loosen up the dirt that is matted to the paint. By loosening up this dirt, you lessen the chance of creating damage as you come across the paint with your wash medium. Thus, removing as much dirt as possible BEFORE you actually touch the paint is always a plus. Keep in mind that a power wash will never remove ALL the dirt so a proper 2-bucket wash is always necessary.

Junkman/Jeff - Ever tried the CG Stripper Scent? Your impressions? Ordered that along with some ONR, LC Flat Pads, BFWD, and 85RD yesterday. Pretty excited for the spring weather to come along here in Chicago, can't wait to correct/opti coat the wifes new Camry and finally get a good correction on my WS6!

Pretty excited to give this stuff a try. I've been buying air fresheners for a couple of years and they seem to agrivate my allergies from time to time. Just looking for something decent to replace that. I will say, I've taken quite a liking to several chemical guys detailing products. Hoping that stripper scent wont let me down!

hey,
my black cts-v has alot of fine swirl marks visible with light. I plan to use Meguiars off the shelf ultimate series lineup, with a clay, compound, polish then wax. Now my question is, its the compound that takes out the scratches correct? Do i buff the compound on the car then wipe it with a microfibre towel and check with a light and if there is still swirls give it a 2nd pass then after inspecting with a light and if the swirls are gone then proceeding to the polish or should i concentrate with the polish more.

Yes the comound cuts into the clear making it look like new again. Is there any way you can take pics of the worst spots? turn off the lights in your garage and get a light and shine it on it and take a picture. If its not real bad with just light swirl marks you can use just polishing compound but i would have to see pics.

I'm not Jeff but I'm another hobby polisher turned pro detailer and now 8 years in. I have actually ordered it and used it on customers cars. I just call it "vanilla". Many people love the smell believe it or not...and I swear to god, it smells like strippers. LoL
Smells like vanilla, a hint of hazelnut and about a half cup of shame.
I only tell the car guys and friends the real name. I try my best not to offend most customers, especially the female clientele.
Hope it helps.

I only tell the car guys and friends the real name and even then, they don't believe me when I tell them it smells the way it smells until they actually try it. Then I ALWAYS hear the same thing, "holy ****, you weren't kidding!".
Hope it helps.
