No rush man. You guys are already going above and beyond for the select few of us and I certainly appreciate the hard work and constant updates keeping us all in the loop.

Thank you, its been a fun project for both of us.

For anyone who purchases one I will do a custom splash or background or both beyond what we already have available for no extra charge. Send me a pm if you have a specific theme in mind. I can also get into theming with your radio if you have a touchscreen. 1 example of our beta tester, he wanted the splash image used in the Oled matched to the radio. The image is much larger for the radio so it had to be re made in the proper resolution to keep clarity. Simply blowing up the original image would distort it heavily.

I need a 150mph cluster for this, don't really want to modify my 120mph cluster that would be lame

Ideally I'd get one that has about 108k miles on it to match my car, but since this unit can be programmed to the proper miles anyway and I never plan on selling this car, I suppose it doesn't really matter.

This was probably asked already but I didn't find the info (30 pages to dig through after all) - does 6LE have the cutout hole size so that a custom overlay can be made that fits this automatically? Or do we have to manually cut the overlay? I don't know if I trust myself to cut it cleanly.

Forgive me, but I'm too lazy to read all this. Are you able to install the oled screen in place of my odometer if I sent it to you?

Thanks for the kind words!

The last parts showed up today, 4 units soldered and ready, two with a box, two without. But the boxes will come before the displays...

120mph gauge? From what?

There are no custom overlays yet, someone mentioned in this thread about trying to get 6LE to do a custom one but I have not seen anything else about it. You will need to cut at this point. Hope this helps. Cliff notes are awesome.

My 99 is a V6 so it has the 120mph cluster. That's "ok" since it is a street car and I have no intention of going that fast on public roads, but down the road I do want to LS swap the car so I may as well just mod one cluster only once and be done. From what I've read the electronics 99-up are the same on the clusters, the oil gauge is printed at a different PSI scale but that's not a big deal, and the tach/speedo should operate accurately either way. Fuel, temp, and volts are the same across them both.

We opted to the let the owner make own adjustments for several reasons. While this OLED assembly does drop right in the oem cradle and fits perfectly, there still may be very slight differences in how it sits in there. Caused both by the build and by the person installing, and production variances allowed by GM in the production of the plastic structure. Weve opted to not make a template for the whole as well. Again because of that human element. All it would take is a couple people putting the template on wrong and screwing their gauge face up. Who do you think theyre going to be blaming.....Oliver and I.

In light of the hand build nature of everything in this project, the end user is going to have to cut their own hole. On the brighter side it is really not hard. With a brand new exacto blade the gauge face material cuts rather easy. My suggestion is to go very slow and make several scores rather than forcefully try to cut through in 1 cut. Also I suggest making a template. Before you install the OLED, power it up. All you need is 12v and ground. The boot screen will appear and there is a white outline of the screen viewing area. Make you template from the outline.

I emailed 6LE about the possibility to move the reset trip/oil text up a little so we dont cut into it, still awaiting a response. With variances I think we are better off cutting and as stated it makes more sense for the two fellas behind the product. Even though cutting it does make me a little nervous..

I dont see why he couldnt do that. When I get my face made Im just going to leave that text off all together.

Heard back from Mark, he said with the completely custom option he can do anything, move the text, make the hole bigger.. Which makes sense but that doubles the cost to $400 and thats more than I want to go

So this may be a huge hassle and not worth the effort at all but I figure if anyone on here would know maybe someone here would.

Is there anyway you guys can think of to switch the stock fbody cluster over to being CANBUS controlled? Or maybe an adapter to convert CANBUS to whatever the stock clusters use? This way someone going aftermarket ecu doesn't have to swap out the entire cluster and can retain all the stock dash functions.

Anything is possible but probably too much work for a very small market...

Best regards

Just to report, I received mine in the mail but have been so busy I merely unpacked it to make sure it wasn't damaged. I'm in the middle of a complete interior rebuild (it's down to metal right now) but plan to at least hook it up to the battery this weekend to make sure it made it intact from the origin location. I'll take pics. Quality looking piece and wire loom!

I got mine a few weeks ago but have yet to attempt to install it. I may need a little assistance on this because the online instructions aren't clear enough for me.

If either of you need any install help, feel free to pm and I will give you my cell number.

Also Viper, Oliver had said you wanted something specific with Trans Am script. Please pm me with what you want. I have some time to devote to it this weekend.

Ls1king000- landscape only for this one.
