3 options, score an sts kit install it yourself and get it dyno tuned , have a shop fab u a turbo kit or tvs2300 does sound nice but turbos are much more fun.

depending on what kind a of setup you go with, I would say turbo....I personally think you could do it between 4-5k, as long as you know some people to help with it.

Where are you located, and Id stay away from STS personally. Youd think if it were really that great youd see more then like 2 with the kits on a V.

I agree, I wouldn't want a rear mounted turbo setup at all, and you pay way tooo much for what you get IMO

you need to think about the ratio of v's to people extremely modding there V's just look at gto's and camaro's alot of people go rear mount setups with those things and they make ALOT of power and great drivability to.

8K is my limit guys I mean you figure anything above that and y not go buy a new V ya know? I live in Colorado and I would be willing to do the install myself to tell ya the truth as long as I could get some instruction and advice when needed, any suggestions on what to do here? I might do some research maybe fabricate my own?

Advice?

I understand this, but you cant tell me that you can count on more hands then one how many STS Vs youve seen yet I could tell you of 20 with maggies on them or at least one with a whipple, 2 with TVS, 2 more with custom turbo setups.

I think the turbos STS uses are junk, and i just dont like the system in general.

Persian you may want to contact Kentucky turbo they would be able to hook you up.

Twin Turbo V

reading the caption, i would a key phase for doing turbos on a V...

"Well, finally after two years of fabrication, Jeff got his CTS-V back"

if you are going turbo...be ready for a lot of time and extra money to be rquired to go into the project. for the TVS2300, just find an LS2 2300, and mount in on the V. just make shure it doesnt have the top mounted intercooler. if it does, you will need a new hood and not just a new strut bar.

good luck through.

^^^ You pay any shop that has a clue what they are doing, it wouldnt take 2 months to fab up a custom twin kit.

i cant count 20 v's that ive personally met if i wanted to. just because the v crowd hasnt taken to something doesnt mean it doesnt work. the people with prochargers and turbo(s) have blown past those poor numbers the maggie makes.

if you want boost to say you have boost then by all means get a maggie. if you want to make some power you can do it rather easy on our cramped vehicle using a sts kit ( or some other rear mount kit).

Damn it I forgot about the rear my goal was just to do something that hasn't been done before!

So I think leaning towered the tvs2300 because it would be more reliable, affordable n I could potentially do the install myself.

All my buddies with turbos say they're a massive headache, anyone know where I can find a 2300??
