I wonder if your belt is not slipping and getting it hot at high rpm. Have you tried it configured like this? It will grip the crank and water pump much better.

I used a 2' level for a straight edge....so I'm guessing I missed the pulley being twisted

Sad news. Lost a local friend last night from a heart attack. Was at the track, had made a pass and was walking the pits when it happened. He was an outstanding type of guy and he will be missed by the racing coomunity. His family will have a massive void that will not be easy. He was a member here as well.

I run the Corvette accessories with power steering pump and stock belt tensioner. I make regular trips to 7500 RPM and a few to 8000 RPM. Since I replaced the factory tensioner some time ago, I have never lost a belt. However, I have fried my alternator. That may have been from too much RPMs.

Not yet, I need to wire up the rpm and maybe the MAP.
As for the AFR, what you think ? 2 steps up on the jets ? (also remember this is 10% Ethanol puke)

OK, Tach is now hooked up ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Started in the garage with the door 1/2 open...tested tach (still works) and data logger...both reading/recording.
Still thinking about the MAP....just for grins.
Would love to do the speedometer....but $$...maybe later down the road ?
2 minute log....need to find jet kit in my "organized confusion"

the final piece of the puzzle for my Camaro (hopefully)
it's hard to believe it's been a year and 4 months since I've last started it. anyone know where the best place to sell my old tubular uppers/lowers off of my 69 Camaro? they are speedway control arms that are made in USA by Golden Star Auto here in Lewisville, TX
