12 sec SS,
Would you have a wiring diagram for a 2004 LQ4 van with a cable operated TB,I believe itis out of a GMC Savannah 3500 but not positve. I have been looking for a while and have not found one. I even tried alldata.com. Apparently the cable operated TB wasn't very common.
Thanks in advance,
LVJimmy

You have to splice into the VSS out from the trans and hook that to the Autometer speedo directly. The feed coming out of the PCM isn't strong enough for the Autometer speedo's to read not that it matters really the Autometer electronic speedos are easy to calibrate for any gears.
*edit* While I'm at it I might as well post about the autometer tach issue as well. They work fine set to 4cyl pulse but require a boost feed 12+ through a 4K resistor to boost the signal from the PCM out. 4K resistors are cheap and readilly available so you simply run 12v+ from a source like accessory out on your fuse box and run that to the 4K then coming out of the 4k you just splice that into the feed from the PCM to the tach. Works great thanks to Speartech for that tip![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)

My tach works great, it's just about 500 RPMs off. Does it need to be boosted as much? As far as my speedo goes...when hooked to the low signal VSS wire (Pin 20), I get nothing. I hooked it to the VSS wire (Pin 21) and it goes from 0-140. Is there a way to add resistors to make it work. I'd really like to not splice into the transmission.
As for the speedo there was no other solution that I am aware of aside from splicing directly into the VSS out feed from the trans itself. Its not really a big deal and is easy to find its right below the shifter.

If the tach is working then your signal strength should be ok ( meaning you dont need the boost or pull up feed ) If its not reading accurately then it sounds like a calibration concern that can be adjusted either via a tuning suite or through the bakers electronic signal conversion box but 500 RPM is so close maybe your tach is gone out of whack?

So far I have seen no mention of converting to a mechanical speedo so here is the cable-x box link. I will report on how it will work after I get it in.

I've looked over this thread a few times and may have over looked the answer I'm seeking, but what fuel pumps did you guys use? I got the info on the corvette filter & regulator, but I'm still searching on best/cheapest pumps to use (external). thanks.

thanks for the info, I currently have this pump installed:
http://www.malloryperformance.com/Pr...minselection=4
but the psi rating appears to be too low. what do you think?
