12SEC SS, do you have any diagrams for the engine harness of a LQ4 2002 Sierra HD (or similar model)? Thanks!

lt1swap.com has a bunch of wiring info - no schematics, but pinouts and wire colors.

Default Wiring for a 2004 lq4 van

12 sec SS,
Would you have a wiring diagram for a 2004 LQ4 van with a cable operated TB,I believe itis out of a GMC Savannah 3500 but not positve. I have been looking for a while and have not found one. I even tried alldata.com. Apparently the cable operated TB wasn't very common.

Thanks in advance,
LVJimmy

Anyone have any diagrams for an e38 ecm? Also is any e38 harness compatible with any 58x LSx engine with the exception of a few different connectors?

*edit* While I'm at it I might as well post about the autometer tach issue as well. They work fine set to 4cyl pulse but require a boost feed 12+ through a 4K resistor to boost the signal from the PCM out. 4K resistors are cheap and readilly available so you simply run 12v+ from a source like accessory out on your fuse box and run that to the 4K then coming out of the 4k you just splice that into the feed from the PCM to the tach. Works great thanks to Speartech for that tip
My tach works great, it's just about 500 RPMs off. Does it need to be boosted as much? As far as my speedo goes...when hooked to the low signal VSS wire (Pin 20), I get nothing. I hooked it to the VSS wire (Pin 21) and it goes from 0-140. Is there a way to add resistors to make it work. I'd really like to not splice into the transmission.

If the tach is working then your signal strength should be ok ( meaning you dont need the boost or pull up feed ) If its not reading accurately then it sounds like a calibration concern that can be adjusted either via a tuning suite or through the bakers electronic signal conversion box but 500 RPM is so close maybe your tach is gone out of whack?

As for the speedo there was no other solution that I am aware of aside from splicing directly into the VSS out feed from the trans itself. Its not really a big deal and is easy to find its right below the shifter.

Fixed it. Switched the tach to 4cyl mode and it works dead on to HPTuners. As far as the Speedo goes, I connected to the VSS wire at the PCM (Pin 21), and calibrated the speedometer. All is fixed.

The Cable-X box works great. I've installed a couple of them in customers cars and have had no problems. Just be sure that you mount it so that the cable is not binding. First one we did we had to much bend, and the little motor was not strong enough to overcome twisting the cable with the bend in it. It made the speedo needle jump around. Once we mounted the box with a far less bend in the cable, everything was fine.

I've looked over this thread a few times and may have over looked the answer I'm seeking, but what fuel pumps did you guys use? I got the info on the corvette filter & regulator, but I'm still searching on best/cheapest pumps to use (external). thanks.

Yeah, that appears to be too low. Someone else may chime in, but an LS1 requires ~40-50 psi I think. I went with the Walbro 255LPH. But I plan on having room to add to my setup later.

+1 on the walbro. stock ls engines are 58 psi.

that moroso is for a carb'd motor.
