'81 Malibu, aiming for a 5.3/200R4 setup from a 305/3-speed...
'78 Malibu (shell for now) probably going to do a 6.0 (turbo or s/c)/T56.
I'm in the early stages (read: research
), but all in all it should be a fun learning experience

I´m trying to put a 6.0 engine in a 1988 JEEP comanche, but even when the engine is already place on the jeep, I have problems to get the harness and the computer to make it work.... I´ve been told to do not use the ones from the donor car, but I´m do not know where to get aftermarket harness and ECU to get this engine to work.
any help will be apprecciated..

I just used the OEM PCM and Harness and just had someone remove the "VATS" from the PCM tuning.

replacing 333/200-4R
with '99 LS1 (41k miles) and '04 GTO 4L60E (9k miles)
adding MS3 cam, LS6 intake, 4k (or so) stall
just getting started, gathering parts, actual work to begin this coming weekend
still need to finalize what to do to fuel system (sump stock tank? which pump? lines?)
long way to go, but should be worth it

About a year ago I had V8 Archie install an LS2 and 6 speed manual transmission into my 1986 Pontiac Fiero.
LS2 was a new crate motor.
Trans was a new GM "F40," this gearbox was used for two years ('06-'07) in the Pontiac G6 and is still used in the Saab 9-3.
Lots of smiles with this drivetrain!

I have a 96 Z and I yanked all the motor and tranny, fuel tank and lines. I have motor tranny and wiring harness with tank and lines and k-member. The wiring for the tank is different and I know I am going to have to splice harness that goes into the car really need some good knowledge on wiring looks a little tuff!
