Conversion folks please list your conversion in here
took about 2 years, lots of fabrication work. details are listed on this craigslist ad:

I've got over 3k miles on the car, but don't drive it too often. it's not a good choice for my 84 mile daily commute, so I'm looking to sell it.
car drives great, GM really should have offered this powertrain. it's a true sleeper hiding the LS1+T56 power under conservative catera body styling and quiet exhaust.
everything works on the car except AC and the tachometer.
I'd be willing to finish these tasks, but my garage is already full of the next project (so it'd take a little while).
hope somebody on LS1 forums is interested. please contact me with any questions/offers:

1997 Thunderbird 3.8 V6
2000 5.3
1997 4L60E transmission
LS1 conversion (intake, injectors, etc)
Custom exhaust manifolds
Custom front accessory drive
Factory AC (gotta cruise in style)

7.5" limited slip (I think it is on the way out) soon to be replaced by an 8.8
Working factory gauges
Stock interior, shifter, etc.
Only external cues are optional factory wheels from a different car covering larger brakes, a compass mirror liberated from a GM truck and a slight lowering job.
I now have about 2000 hard miles on the swap and the car is completely stealth. Everything fits under the hood and all interior panels are in place and options work. Noise is funneled through stock sounding dual exhaust and exits the rear in the stock manner and location.
Detailed build topic is here.

My other swap is 70 RS Camaro Elelbrock headers and motor mounts (worked great no fab) Ford 9"
So far all works fine, but having a problem with routing the steering linkage around the longtube headers. I will have to cut out a bit of the frame.

modifying my own harness and asking lots of stupid little questions on this site forgive me I am new at the ls1 game.No pics yet have'nt started mocking up yet.

Just starting on putting a 6.0/4l60 in my '47 Diamond T pickup project. I had a 350TBI/4L60 in it, but it had lots of miles and needed a rebuild. The LS swap is proving to be a little challenging, but I think I'll get it handled, with some help from the board!
