the only thing to make sure you pay attention to is the water pump, because if you keep the truck water pump, it will have to be modified to fit the LS1 intake

it looks just like an ls1 except with different cover (which dont fit yet) and has a nifty little 6.0L on the front of the block

i converted to cable and use an LS1 pcm

Thanks for the visual. Wouldn't it be going backwards to spend the money on an LS2 and then stick the LS1 intake and TB on it? I thought the LS2 intakes were better?
I was hoping to see a real LS2 swap in an S-10 using the LS2 ECM, inake, and TB. I'd be cusrious to hear what the troubles were vs. an LS1. I'd think electrical would be about the only difference.

an LS2 intake is different from an LS1/LS6 intake. the TB is bigger on the LS2 and the LS1 TB wont fit on and LS2 intake. the engines are the same as far as the swap goes. he used the LS1 PCM and lengthened the harness for the knock sensors and the cam and crank sensors. the PCM is virtually the same for the S-10, LS1, LS2...........

I went with an LS1 intake simply because of cost and availability, i plan to get an LS2 intake so i can get my engine covers on properly (they dont fit ls1 intakes very well)

there are two types of LS2 pcms. 24x and 58x
the 24x is very similar to an ls1 pcm
58x must be run with the appropriate crank

other than that, the only difference is cost... which, again, is why i have the LS1 pcm

Default wiring

I'm doing my own. Haven't seen my truck for a while, been out of town working. But I got the underhood fuse box powered up and cranked the engine over without spark. Throttle body works, Electronic throttle body, real cool. Got fuel spray. Hope to be back by Christmas and have running by end of January. Alldata And Chevy dealer in town were great help. It's 2005 5.3 into 96 Chevy Blazer 4x4 to 4x2.

I didnt do all the wiring...all i did was got my LS1 harness made stand alone and then chopped the wiring in the truck and made everything work...RWAL, Cruise, A/C, Factory Tach, Everything works just like it came from the factory...and was extremely easy to do also for my year truck.
