So essentially as long as I use his harness the gauges will work as they did from the factory regardless of the choice of custom tuning I use. I want to tune it myself with hpt pro but I was not sure if the diablosport had a custom tune in it that made the factory gauges work correctly. Thanks

I know that in order to make some of the stuff work right, it takes a little trickery. In most S-10 apps, you can't just stick a Camaro program in the computer and have everything work right.
I found with my 2000 Noma using a truck computor all the guages worked properly including the tach, except the gas guage. The computor had to be re-programmed in the fuel level area to have it read with the right scale. I presume as the engine programming was from a full size truck that the gas guage was for a larger tank. All is good now.

depending on your application, in order to make it work right, you just have to connect wires. basically, the pcm must be tuned so that the gauges read accurately, but thats something that you should do anyway. things like vats delete and turning off MIL indicator for DTCs like a common alternator incompatibility error or missing wheel sensors...
what im trying to say here, is, if you have the money, spend it on a wiring harness. if you dont mind to do the work yourself, do your own harness... because you can and its not hard
