The G-Body Swap Thread
If the headers don't fit the way I want them to, then I'll end up getting a set of adapter plates off of eBay and then trying those. I WILL NOT modify these headers in anyway though.
I don't know how many times I've told myself the next G-body swap will go so smooth it's rediculous, with all the trial and error fitting.
I do know that with the BRP mounts, the LS1 car coils fit pretty nicely without needing to notch the AC box, at most you will have to put a bolt in the most rearward hole instead of the stud on the valve cover.
I put 'em on tonight (87 Regal). The pass one is going to need a little adjustment with my framing hammer, but they are good to go!
I think ill remove the passenger one completely and then start all over with the install. Anyone else with these headers have this issue?
Is there anyone else using the CTS-V pan with the BRP mounts? I'm not sure if I should replace the mounts with some adapter plates, or just get the Muscle Car oil pan. The pan I beleive touches the crossmember, with everything bolted up. If it doesn't touch now, then it will when driving, without a doubt.

S&P gbody ls1 swap headers also
now I'm thinking to EFI the LS1 with a standalone wiring harness and a PCM.
carb or EFI? street driven car.
okay, is there a simple drawing or a 'how to' do routing the lines? what all parts I need to do the fuel system for a EFI LS1? I mean beginning from the baffled tank to the engine.

On another note, does anyone know how to get reverse lights with the 4l60e assuming the "column connecting rod" wont work. which it wont on my car with those headers and that transmission.????

Stock gm mounts on the frame in the front holes with the two uppers bolted and the one bottom with Gm clamshells
There is a two in gap between the engine and trans. Its looking like im gonna extend the tab on the crossmember.
Unless someone can tell me what i did wrong?

which plates did you use? The 1 inch setback plates are the ones you need to keep stock tranny location

Everything on my car fits in fine.
