Small update: alternator is shot, so it looks like i'll have to add yet another thing to the to-do list before it makes it to the track. Was gonna run it stock motor with a good suspension and drivetrain and see what she does before i add the cam and spray

Looks good, have you removed the rear coil "cups" and put done the heater hose mod?? Should get some of that gap out.

Yeah the rear has the heater hose mod done, It sits really high in the back because the car was on jackstands for like 8 months (and the frame was still on stands in some of the pictures), and then i just put some stock replacement shocks ($20 monroe cheapies) on the car till i can get it driven to the shop and start working on it. I'm going AFCO DA's and picking up some of the madman spring mounts to run a coilover spring in stock location, and will be able to adjust the ride height.

Oh really? i figured they were on the frame and the rear hung down. Hmm... Any rate, spent today working on the formula, as I have a big event next weekend (Holcomb Motorsports civil wars) And it seems as though the rear QA1 shock is messed up internally. Afco's on the way, damn these cars are getting expensive to upkeep 2.

Yesterday's work.., cut the inner fender metal off, pulled off pretty much everything accept the body harness out of the front end. Oh and got the motor/trans pulled out of the car! I think I unbolted/cut/removed a solid 40lbs of stuff off the front of the car yesterday (thats not going back in) Still have to chop up some brackets and the radiator support, which i'm guessing will give me another 10-15lbs of metal gone. Plus I have tubular kmember and a-arms to install too, gonna be a light car when all is said and done.

More cutting and cleaning up of the engine bay today.. Removed the cowl, still need to put in the patch panel for that. I also removed the fuse boxs/harnesses on the driver side, going to thin those things out and get rid of all the stuff I wont be needing, and tucking it up on the opposite (bottom side) of where it was originally mounted. Also picked up my Water pump for the A2W IC, got my BOV and WG in the mail too.

Cowl in stock form

Me working my magic

After:

Pile of junk removed so far! (AC and heat and all the ducting was gone when i got the car)

Studderin- I wasn't sure of there would just be a hole behind that so I didn't cut that off yet, guess I'll be doing that this afternoon! I'm dreading going through the harness, web though in an avionics tech and do this stuff for a living, it gives me headaches just thinking about it. I'm half tempted to just buy a painless harness and wire in te bare essentials.
