HI phil its been intresting reading your posts regarding the issues with pushing the lsx to its near on limits . hope all goes well , in the end with time and money all is possible. I have built my combo using the warhawk block and it to has its own issues the first was the liners sinking futher into the block we had to re face the block after the head gasket blew. Only question to ask is : have you coated your pistons , hope its not a dumb question .

Still waiting on a Bryant Crank, GRP Rods, Marcella Sheetmetal intake, Jesel Belt drive && Distributor drive and some other small **** for next year.

Pistons are coated by Calico in Carolina. There are a couple combos that might work I can tell you that you can't spin a steel rodded motor over 7200-7500 making 2k hp. You MIGHT be able to get away with a standard 4340 crank with aluminum rods spinning to 8000 maybe more. We went a Billet Center Counterweight Crank with Aluminum rods, should be stable to 9k and as much HP as we can throw at it.

You got any pics of the liner issue?

That's not the first time I have heard of the warhawk block having liner movement issues.... the more I hear about that block the more I'd stay away from it.

The new piece that comp/rhs is coming out with looks very promising, a real race piece with everything pretty much covered with it.

4.5 stroke 4.14 bore, here I come

Photo of et ls7 heads off . To open pic larger keep clicking window until it opens larger , thanks guys. I was one that recieved mine at the early stages , when i told them about this issue they simply said that they never heard off this , but now that there are are a few more out there its issues are more evident. And also when i posted the issue , the moderators told me to take the issue up with world and then deleted my post .

Im not sure who deleted it but i remember steve bryant was one off the first to answer my thread , his response was "' have you spoken to world about this / then the next day i could not see my post any more . this was about a year ago . Any way its not a big issue but as long as people are aware of it i am happy. Just the same as some off us are seing the probs that the lsx has . Many learn from reading peoples posts which then keeps your engine builders answering more questions asked by the consumer , is this is a good thing who knows .

Just one more question , my pistons were coated by ross . If you look at my piston tops it is evident the tops are faiding . this is only after about 10-15 dyno pulls. Phil how were your piston tops when you stripped .Is it worth coating pistons , how long does coatings realy last?

To answer your question on the piston coating,we have marine endurance engines that have over 300hrs on that the coating is like new,the coating on the pistons that came out of my twin turbo small block chevy still looked great-they had over 200 passes on them.
