My friends and I are having a bit of an argument with a very dense RSX owner. Last year, this guy claimed he could walk LS1s with ease. Needless to say, I raced the guy first from a 20 mph roll, 40 mph roll, and 60 mph roll all at his request (he doesn't race from a dig). I walked him hard from each roll (I don't even remember the lengths but it was substantial each time). My car at the time only had a lid and Borla catback and he had full bolt ons (intake, exhaust, etc.) Now fast forward a year and apparently has added a kpro (aftermarket ecu) and now claims to "pull 5 cars more and has to pedal it at 40 mph due to no traction." I now have Pacesetter longtubes and offroad y-pipe in addition to the catback and lid. I asked him what he has ran at the local track but refuses to go to the track until he gets slicks due to the aforementioned traction problems. He has also claimed to have "beaten up" on a C5, so he is feeling quite cocky. Before anyone asks, he has no poweradder and is still n/a. Now, is he delusional or do you guys actually think a bolt on, kpro RSX Type-S is a threat to a bolt on LS1? Let me know what you think.

I would imagine this thread will get moved to the bench racing section. (since that is what this thread is, and they made a whole section dedicated just to this type of type of thread)
oh yeah... you'll still walk all over him.

If he has an '02-'04 RSX, with the K-pro and a race header he's gonna be somewhere in the mid-high 13s. If it's an '05+ car, solid mid 13s. Should trap ~105mph, give or take. So he might be a good run for a stock LS1, but not a modded one.

Sorry about the wrong subforum. It is an '03 RSX. I was reading up on RSXs at clubrsx.com and there was a thread where a guy with the same mods with kpro lost to an exhaust only ls1 (same set up as me) pretty badly, but I wanted to verify to see if anybody here has had an experience them personally. Thanks for the responses. By the way, what would the '03 trap it? I don't have any 1/4 mile times but my 1/8th trap averages at 86-87 mph.

I have a couple buddies that ran their RSX-Ss back in 2004, and I distinctly remember one of them running a 13.7 @ 103mph in his '02 Type S with intake/race header/exhaust and a Hondata tune (not sure if it was the K-pro). That was on regular Kumho Ecsta 712s. Car made 207whp.

HAHA, you'll walk circles around him.
I watched that guess the times show on speed tv and say a built-on, Supercharged RSX type-s pushing like 7 pounds of boost i think on slicks, and he ran like a 12.9..
Figured lower 12's but damn them must be heavy as hell, I'd have to say this is a sad Car to replace the Interga....

It's a whole hundred and fifty pounds heavier than the Integra, and the K-series motors are WAY better than the B-series. Don't base your opinion of a car from Pass-times. They're capable of running 13s with just an intake and a tune, so that's not too bad for a FWD 4cyl.

Nice contribution ![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)
I don't care what you see, an RSX-S with just a tune will run down full bolt-on GS-Rs. I had the fastest stock GS-R I've ever seen or heard of, and I would barely beat stock RSX-Ss. And mine was a factory freak.
