Good point... Since he didn't say he was selling his J-bracket or pulleys, I guessed he's staying procharged.

Typically the plastic air box can balloon up repeatedly without encountering any problems with it. If the airbox is older, which means not only has the plastic aged but it more than likely has gone through many boost cycles, then you can expect it to eventually crack. The same thing can happen to the aluminum airbox, as aluminum fatigues too, although the aluminum will normally last much longer. Bob

I did the same thing. I tried to eliminate all the headaches and complaints people had and went directly to the front mount, Aster's brackket, 8-rib pulleys, truck hat and massive filter. Granted, it popped my motor after 5 months thanks to 30 degree temps and upwards of 15 psi of boost, but at least I know the motor made good power.

I know mine is a racecar, but I really did not want to deal with ice, or the extra plumbing for an intercooler.
K.I.S.S. and screw all that extra weight and stuff to go wrong.
I hear all the time of coolers blowing apart.
Hell, a guy at RT 66 blew one apart at 198-199 mph iirc??
I went straight alcohol, one pipe from the blower to the T.B. and I'm done!!
Put in fuel and go, can't get much easier then that.
