Front mounts help quite a bit more but you have to lose fogs on a a TA, no?
EPP makes adapters for your fogs to still work/be there. You don't want the plenum, it's known to pop the metal one a lot, and it shatters the plastic one.

Ahhh, that sucks.. It looks so much better IMO..

I hope its alright with you guys to discuss stuff in here! It is still all procharger related! I have a LOT to learn..

Do I have to lose the front bird (license plate cover) with a front mount?

techincally you dont "need" to but the more air flow the better!! The colder you get the intake charge the more power you will make. A few of my mustang buddies have there front mount behind there bumper with only like 4 holes cut in it and they run mid 9s all day long. So at that point its "to each there own"

another thing i never noticed untill i started checkin out some vids is how supercharged cars leave like slugs! Not one video have i seen where the car is pullin um high or far. The talk was all about how turbo cars leave like snails but lately turbo cars are comin outta the holes like animals and procharged cars are leavin like snails, lol.

I got a 3800 stall with a trans brake on my th350 and 4.11 gears.. (from old set-up) gonna run them for now so i can get the car somewhat dialed in, wonder how its gonna leave vs. the guys with 3.50ish gears.... just thinkin out loud here...

Mine weighed 3969lbs and was off the foot brake (1.34 60'), if it weighed anything like half of the track oriented cars, it would have been on the bumper. Pulling the wheels and holding them up is wasted energy. You want the car to lift, carry them a little bit and set them back down gracefully.

Here's mine, this winter I'm going to replace all the rubber hose with aluminum pipe and red silicone couplers to match the plenum to the TB. Keeping the twins and having the plenum and intake powder coated the same color as the car... MMM

Did you have some bracing welded into yours for it to survive then? What made you stick with the plenum over a front mount?

I know this is mainly a procharger thread.. But I have heard a lot of god things of Vortechs redesigned kit.

As of right now in my head I'm thinking procharger head unit is where it is and vortechs kit, no? Is there any happy medium?
