The 3.800/3.819 dragonslayer crankshaft is one that I personally ordered, basically had to put my name of 5 crankshafts each order for that to happen, if they show up and have no buyer, I have to explain why Its a zero-sum game.

At this time, every order for 3.8" dragonslayer crankshaft is filled, I haven't taken any new orders for 3.8" dragonslayer crankshafts or placed an order with Callies at this time.

Im lookin to get 1500 crank hp out of a ls based motor for a 5000lb truck with 40" tires. would you suggest the LSX 390 or 410? What about heads and turbo/turbos. Can you ballpark a figure on those. also is there a price difference for the 410? my 900 hp turbo 5.3 just isnt cuttin it anymore.

Aster Bracket
JP Billet Double Roller
Brand new D1SC w/ATI FMIC with boost as high as I can get it to go without overspinning, and turning 6550rpm's.

going to run it on a lonnies double pumper with 100 120lbs injectors on e85 with methanol(overkill). should be a sweet setup. placing my order tomorrow. Just finished painting my ls6 intake so it would not look like a turd on a silver platter. Charge pipes were powdercoated and I have alot of engine dressup items coming as well as the wire mod. I am overdoing it, but arent we all.

Hey AES, with the new motor I am ordering, has anything been done to address the temps in the cylinders.....My 02 ws6's ls1 has the ls6 intake and that year the rear steam vents were blocked off. That did not matter at stock power levels, but as soon as power came on.....ringlands were gone. I have even heard of forged motors going this route. I am not the most educated guy when it comes to lq9 blocks, but I just wanna make sure we keep em all cool. If a Kurt Urban Steam setup is needed to ensure longevity in my street car then that is a route I would gladly take if you thought it necessary.

How long is the wait on a motor from AES? I emailed Fraser on Sunday and messaged him here yesterday. Just waiting for a reply with some prices so I can spend some money.

I have the AES 390 with the dragonslayer in my car now for around 2,000 boosted miles. Motor runs great . Oil pressure is very good and I would recomend AES to anyone looking for a quality motor at a very fair price.

Thanks fraser

nope. did not know they were blocked off until afterwards. But i wanted to address it while you guys were still in the process of getting the motor together for me. I did not want it to be an issue with the 237's. apparently the 98-2000 ls1 cars did not have this issue because the ls1 intake did not interfere with the coolant crossover lines. learn something new everyday is what i said to myself. fool me once shame on you. fool me twice.....you get what im saying here....haha.

So you ran block offs on all 4 holes in the heads? I'm asking cause I've never seen anyone do that. The newer style is a crossover pipe that connects the cylinder heads, the block offs go on the back 2 holes in the heads, did you have that it that way?

I had it the way the factory had it. apparently in 2001-2002 when the ls6 intake was added the front two were used while the back two were blocked off. this is considered a leading cause of number 7's infamous high temps and ringland failures. an interesting thread to say the least.

"98 through 2000 are vented front and rear but do not come with LS6 intakes. 2001-2002 cars came with LS6 intakes but plugged rear vents"

According to Callies' website, the 3.625" stroke Dragonslayer is not a special order crankshaft. I think I may just go with an AES 370 when the time comes.

You want to build a 370 with a dragonslayer 3.625" crankshaft?

Why not? In the latest issue of GM HighTech magazine, they are building a 370 utilizing a forged Lunati 3.622" crank.
