Oh wow! Well that is certainly the way to go then, ESPECIALLY if they will hold up toward the 800hp range...
If the 4th gen rods still don't cut it at your power level, I guess if there was cheap set of Chinese H-beam rods in the quality range of Eagles or something, you could pop those in with the 4th gen pistons since they have floating pins.
EDIT:
Wow, there are options... There are nice Scat I beams in the $340 range shipped, and then there are these H-beams:

There are even some H-beams cheaper than that!

Let me just sum up this thread and denmeh right here.
SEVEN HUNDRED HORSEPOWER AT THE WHEELS. ON A BENT ROD.
There is no denying it, denmeh simply has boosted LS blueprints in his DNA.

Good thread summation!
But I have a question: Were the worst bent rods attached to the pistons with broken ring lands? I guess none of them were straight, but maybe the butting ring ends were adding to the non-linear stresses on the rods? It's possible that the other rings were beginning to but too, just not badly enough to break ring lands.
Didn't a junkyard 4.8L with their longer rods make 1,200hp with nothing more done to the bottom end than copious ring gapping?
