HAHA sorry man, didn't mean it like that. Just meant that if I had that power and broke my car I would want it back up and running ASAP.

denmah....the th400's you guys use on your cars are they built or just stock junk?

If built what all does it take to do 700whp through one and have it last for alteast a season?

How much can they be had for generally?

haha i didnt take offence, but yeah obviously im one of those people, i dont want it to be broken, so i fix it right away, gotta double check the timing as i believe thats what was breaking the pistons over all.

since i know more people not even opening ring gap and making big power, IE skinnies and other people i know doing 700+ on stock gaps

honestly we have done valvebodys in some pretty tired transmissions and made 600+ without issue for a while, but we have a guy locally here if you drop off a shell, for about 1200 dollars you can get the works, with a trans brake and all, and they take all of our abuse.

i think that is a fair price if other people wanna chime in, i mean bullet proof worry free at our hp levels. i don't think that's bad at all.

but yeah we have done a few totally stock th400s with a valvebody and they have held 600rwhp in my friends heavy *** truck for many many passes haha and who knows if the trans was in decent shape when we got it.

the 4l80e is totally stock, with that transgo kit that gives the 3-4 clutch packs more fluid pressure and volume. other than that its totally stock, what a beast.

you mean for e85 and gasoline?

the micro has like 3 fuel / spark tables you can setup and i belive you could empty your tank and flip a switch. also you could integrate a flex fuel sensor and program it to mix.

or if you wanted to swap to an entirely different tune you could connect a laptop and upload the entire tune to a completely different one in about 2-3 seconds.

i guess the answer would mostly depend on what do you want the 2 separate tunes to do...

You know
Tune 1 - The average Drive to work tune

Tune 2 - Oh ****! Its Honda Tuner Boy

Just wondering how fast i could change from stun to KILL like at a light or while i have a crown and coke rofl! Could you have a switch to do something like this or would ya have to break out the laptop?

Another cool part is that replacement parts are pretty easy to come by and at a decent price. A lot better than breaking expensive parts and having to replace them and wait.

Congrats on getting it back together, maybe running it till it quit making power then backing it off a bit was still too close to the edge of detonation. Hopefully backing it off a touch will make it live.

Looking forward to some more street videos

honestly they are two separate parts of the map, i answered this in another thread when someone was asking stuff like this.

basically you should just tune your car for max safe power, and run an electronic boost controller in the car, leave it turned down all the time and when you want turn the boost up,

i dont recommend changing tunes all the time.
once the car is tuned, more specifically a turbo car you can adjust power easily with a boost controller.

the guy isnt finished building it yet, i told him to take his time, its a part time gig for him and he has other people who pay him alot to build stuff.

i do know that he started on it.

i think im still learning with the freebie pistons and cheap motors for now, not sure if i would throw that motor in just yet.

Okay then, well I got a guy that will trade a th350 straight up for my 100k t56 and newer spec clutch...the trans was lightly used but on a shelf in the garage for a good ten years.

Think ill take it and have it refreshed and mildly upgraded. Should last atleast the summer I hope. I'm trying to do it cheap im literally on a extremely tight budget.

I want a nice converter like the circle d you got but they are pretty pricey. What's the next best thing that's cheap for a converter?
