It will most def be on the street more. Its more of a weekend warrior, and its not my only car. My job also gives me a company vehicle back and forth to work so none of them really get driven often.
I ordered my fuel system today. Even got a new sending unit. The racetronix setup is sold already.

Got the water pump cleaned and painted. turned out great. installed an SLP 160* thermostat. Pretty much time to put the accessories on the motor, tap the block for the blower bracket, mate it to the trans/ and get the new k member going and drop the car down onto it.
Should be installing the fuel system sometime in early April and hopefully have it on the rollers by May 5th.

Dropped the tank today. Around 3 hours taking my time and with a smoke break. Double pumper and braided lines are run and I am just waiting on the motor to have the accessories put on, and we will couple the 4l80e to it and drop the car down on top of it along with the newly installed K member.
Having to wait a little bit while I wait for an ARP accessory kit to arrive. It has each bolt labeled, and they are stainless so they look better.
I had no desire to use the old ls1 bolts that are rapidly approaching 11 years old in April. Apparently some of them are TTY and can only be used once, although I am sure some people use them more. Not my style though. It will be a nice finishing touch to the overall setup.
It includes bolts for:
Intake manifold bolts
Valve cover bolts
Thermostat housing bolts
Alternator bracket bolts
Distributor bracket bolts
Motor mount bolts
Oil pan bolts
Coil bracket bolts
Header bolts
Front cover bolts
Rear cover bolts
Water pump bolts
Fuel pump bolts
I also drove a 7.0 car last night (1/8th). It was a 383 stroker 79 malibu with a 4000 stall and some slicks with a Pro Stick 3300 lb. First time in the car. No power steering or ABS ect... Quite the experience. Made it down the track in style though. Ran a 7.70 letting out after blowing the slicks off and heading for the wall, but I got back in it real quick. Reminded me of how Ray Litz drives haha. First run I have made in over 14 months.

Been waiting almost 3 weeks for the #$*&^in bolts. Called ARP said they were on backorder. Asked the guy how its possible that something they manufacture in house is on backorder. I was cussing but not at him. He hung up. Called back again one week later. Asked again, he said probably about 3 more weeks. Said they are waiting on 2 or three sets of bolts to be made. They are lucky they make the best **** out there otherwise Id take my $400 dollars somewhere else. This is ******* stupid.
This is the holdup.
Got my stock seats out and sold them for $400 and I am buying a set of Corbeau black Micro suede FX1 Pro seats. One for the time being until I see how the cage is going to fit later on this summer.
Pass seat was 43lbs
Driver seat was 47 lbs
Rear Cushion and buckets were 28 lbs.
New seats are 19lbs a piece. about a 70-80lb weight savings and much nicer looking.

In other news, I finally , FINALLY got the last few pieces that have been holding me up thanks to the people at "the top of everest".
Lost my camera so I bought this crappy $20 one at wally wally wally wally wally wally world last night with my Louisiana Purchase card and snapped a few pics.
The real **** begins now. not sure how long I have been collecting things and tearing the thing apart and cleaning it up, but I am finally to the point where I have nothing left to get (other than suspension later) to get her on the dyno and down the road. Pray for my 10 bolt.
New FX-1 Pro. Fits me perfect and I am a shorter guy 140lb. I was worried about how it would fit me. Great quality IMO. Comfy but not too comfy. Def will hold me in place and should let the cage clear easily.
ARP fasteners all the way around. Labeled and vacuum sealed. Stainless 12 point. Should make the bay look a little nicer too. Also new gaskets and seals for everything including oil pan, timing covers, pumps, ect.......
I am ready to get this month out of the way and get this thing tuned.

That piston looks really familiar. Mine was #7, and I broke both top and second ring lands, and bent the rod. I also discovered that I broke the second ring land on #5.
Mine was on a cold, dry, January day. AFR was 11.2-11.5, 13 degrees of timing, but I was pushing 15psi of boost at 6900rpm....ouch.
