moving on up!
Just got some flat black on it now. Its in there. level. tight but not too tight. you put alot of time getting it better than I ever could and people who dont know f bodies by heart will not even know it was ever any different. thanks man.
thanks panther99
hoping it does 8.99 in the 1/4 once the suspension is dialed in. im sure the car has 9's in it first pass.
Side note, I would cover any glass(windshield) when cutting, grinding or welding anywhere near it. Those little sparks will embed in the glass and mess it up quick.
Here is a little shot of what we were working with tonight. Swappin all the bolts over to ARP and making sure things fit the way they need to and line up just so.

Currently I am waiting for my ls2 conversion kit from Texas Speed. My buddy got an AES 390 too, but his is apparently a 3rd Gen and mine is a Gen IV which required a new ls2 timing cover, an ls2 sprocket, relocated knock sensors, map extension, cam sensor extension, and all kind of miscellaneous bullshit. its a 400 dollar bill i was not planning on having to spent this month. My injectors do not fit in the fuel rails because the 2000's only come in ls3 style and need a billet 1'' adapter to make them ls1 height. waiting on that. ill put all that stuff in in no time and this thing will be done in no time.

The ls2 conversion kit is done. The double roller easily cleared the ls2 timing cover.
Used an M10 x 1.5 tap and 8.5 drill and put in new LS1 knock sensors with all new wiring harness adapters from Racetronix.
The cam sensor harness is run.
Pulled the injectors and added the 1'' extender/height adapters from FIC to make the ls3 style work with mine.
We plumbed the KUP vapor kit, but are switching it around for appearance purposes, and I decided to swap the fuel line setup from feeding one rail and crossing over to feeding both rails via a Y and T'ing them at the front and running one over through the 2 port fuel lab and returning that way. Even pressure across the board.
The motor is in the car. bolted up just waiting on fuel and trans.
We even had the headers and all the accessories on when we dropped it onto it.
I am waiting on summit to send me my gatorback belt. 52.5 inch 8 rib. A 1/4 NPT plug for the radiator, and a ton of -8 and -6 fittings.
We cut the dog ears off the trans and are getting ready to put that and the DS back on but I decided to let ERIC @ MWC send me a safety loop, because per Allout06 if it snaps it could become the justice stick to the underside of the car.
The hardest parts now will be figuring out the wiring and where it goes, and putting the dash back in. We are really not that far from getting it done.
Here is the fuel setup. Please be sure and admire my fine skills as an artist.
Motor is in. Dash is in. Steering Column is in. Wheels and front suspension is on.
Ran some of the wiring harness. blah blah blah
Just need to stab the transmission in.
Finish wiring it up.
Put fluids in.
Fire it up.
The exhaust will need to be put back on too but ill prob just run it open headers for the time being and work on that later.
I also bought a piece of 3.5 piping to help with deleting the MAF and a bigger silicone coupler for the 102 ect....

Everything is dirty and needs to be cleaned still....
