Thanks!

I was going to add a window net to the car but I'm thinking I'll wait a bit, it's more important for me to get the car and get it aligned.

Thanks Jxx

When I get it back I'm keen to try Jamie's sandbag trick to 'form' the fiberglass body parts.

I'll prob also pull the trunk lid off and have a local fill the wing holes and then paint it flat black, the purple triggers too many people.

Are you gonna do some kind of fabricated aluminum wing?
Your gonna need something if you plan on getting into the 7's or 8's.

heck no.

This is street car first, would not need a wing for 8's maybe for mid 7s but i don't plan to try for that.

I was going to pick it up Sunday but my fabrication buddy and his wife both got 'rona, so I'm picking up the car this Saturday.

And the #hairybanana is home. My fabrication guy Eddie V swapped the ladder bars (which I can do) but had to custom weld the track locater. He then centered the rear, squared up the car, checked pinion angle, and did some other little stuff like nut certs for the brake lines and fuel lines.

I need an alignment if we don't get big snow I'll get that in, but other than that she's ready to make passes. I did beat on it on the way home and the speed makes me nervous hahaha.

I took the long way home and drove 2 hours just to get my total up to 9 hours of street driving.

I got on it a bunch of times and the car feels really really good.

Pretty much done. 9 hours of street driving done so far.

I still need to get alignment, might get that in before the snow flies, and I am going to re-balance my front wheels. That puddle was there already too lol.

Yeah thanks. I did a bunch of street driving before but it always ended with me high tailing it home because an issue cropped up. Honestly I could be jinxing myself and I do need to look over vaccum lines and stuff up front but I could potentially drive the car 3-4 hours at a stretch now. Street reliability is way more important than hitting a number at the track, in the past I didn't spend enough time making a car a solid driver. The '98 formula ran hot and had a lot of brake fade.

Ryan yeah I get a real mix of responses when I drive it.

I attended a little car show, and a few guys asked me what size engine and I said LS 5.3 with an 85mm turbo, and 2-3 times they have responded with "oh not a big block, okay."

Really digging the stance John, I think you nailed it.
As for the BBC comment, I miss the LS6 454 that was in my 70 Camaro from time to time but the fact I can make double the power with a FAR more driveable combination makes the feeling short lived lol.

Yeah I had 2-3 older guys kinda lose interest when they didn't see a BBC in there. On the other hand I had few guys come up and go nuts because they were building something similar and it was inspiring for them to see me driving mine.

I actually want to get the stance kind of even, I have not measured yet how far off I am. I kinda like the stance of my friend Phil's Nova:

You DO know the stance of a Nova will never look as good on a Camaro right?
