Somethings majorly f*cked. I had an exhaust leak and an intake leak, only running 14* timing with stock heat range plugs and made 440 on a dyno pak dyno, which also shows low numbers like the mustang dyno. Did you tune MAF or SD?

At 5-6psi, on the stock motor, you should see somewhere around 425 rwhp on a dynojet. So I would expect to be in the upper 300's on a Mustang Dyno.

Your high intake temps may be causing the pcm to pull timing, and the exhaust leaks will hurt a lot. Even if they are small, that will cost you spool time, and power. I'm assuming the car has been tuned...right? Was there any knock? What afr were you seeing?

front moutn intercooler or methanol with a good tune is what i say. after you have made sure there are no exhaust and or boost leaks.

If you have a converter melting or breaking down that is a major issue. Not only coud it possibly blow debris into the turbo if it clogs up you won't create boost at all the the motor will bog down.

If you have an malfunctioning MAF you'll see somewhat of the same issues like rough idle cutting out on acceleration, etc.

I run a stock Z28 with the STS kit and dyno right around 440 on 5 psi non intercooled. I haven't been back on the dyno since the custom FMIC.

Firts off you need to make sure that the MAF is operating properly, you have no converter issues, your A/F is correct and that you are not going lean under boost, and that you have no exhaust leaks or cold side leaks.

What other mods. have you done besides the kit ie: injectors, fuel pump, etc?

Most def, somethings wrong.. I made 387rwhp and 404rwtq with the PCM pulling 11* timing because of 161* IAT's......

We couldnt even tune it on the dyno because of IAT's and cylinder pressure...

DEF. Check the maf, make sure theres no Oil on the sensors, Converter problem seems to be your biggest issue as it stands.... I would get that fixed, check the MAF, maybe replace it if necc... and then get either meth of an Intercooler...

You should have NO problem @ 6-7psi making around mid 400's

Yes, if that cat comes apart it will ruin the turbo. I have seen it happen before. Bob

i think my tuner is a dumb ***, maybe not.... he said that my numbers on a dynojet would be low to mid 400's ??? id like to take it somewhere else to get it tuned again but i already spent 500 dollars on the 1st one!! DAMN!!! i wish i knew more about this stuff, he said something about 35% something.....lol and i could and that to my hp #'s...... something about correction??? anyway when i drive the thing it def feels a hell of alot faster than before but i couldnt belive it was only 350 rwhp!!

I would check the basics then if you still are low on power I would do a compression test.

Gut the converter for starters as Bob said you could ruin your turbo if its blow apart and pieces of the converter packing are making their way into the turbo. Also, check out your MAF and find out what codes its throwing. If its gone then just get another stock MAF from someone on this board and swap it out. Finally, get some colder plugs and if your IATs are very high look into meth injection or a FMIC. 350 rwhp is def low but if you are having these issues and there are potentially some exhaust leaks in your turbo system then I wouldnt be so quick to blame your tuner if he didnt do the STS install for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

having old cats.. or cats in general is the biggest problem with having this system.. if you can, gut them completely or remove them.. if you can..

You can't blame the tuner. The car just wasn't ready to be tuned by the looks of it. Having stock/old plugs can be a major problem. Replace those, gut the cats, and clean the mass air. Then have it tuned when it's ready to be tuned.

I picked up an OBX front mount on ebay for a couple hundred bucks, and paid another couple hundred to have custom pipes welded up. I installed the intercooler myself, it really wasn't hard. That's the least expensive way, but I know some places are selling kits that will make it easier.
