Well the vette is actually cheaper on my insurance by 40$ a month. No payment involved would be a straight trade the vette is mint. Mine is in fantastic condition also.
Exterior 8/10 (couple rock chips here and there on the hood)
Interior 10/10 Still looks new
The vette seems to be about as fast as my cobra off the juice. Decisions decisions!

You said your self the Corvette was about as fast as your Cobra off the juice?
It won't take that much to get the vette up to par with the Cobra even on the juice, I'm sure with some good heads and a good tune it will wake it up even more. Just think if you mess with the bottom-end as well. Probably all for much cheaper than what it would cost to take the Cobra to the next level. PLUS, think about all the handling benifits the Corvette offers as well.
IMO: Overall the vette is a much more refined and balanced car.
Plus its the better babe-magnet of the two.

No way in hell I would trade a 6y/o car for a 10 y/o car considering both are equal. I have a cammed car that why I bought a cobra for the ease of drivability. You gotta drive it, any descision you make is not bad but I wouldnt do it because of age. Both cars are badass

As an FRC owner I'll throw my opinion in the pot. It all depends on what you're looking for in the car. Is straight line the most important or do you care about curves more, or do you want both?
The FRC is a much lighter car and has far more potential in the handling department, on the flip side the Cobra has forged internals and can take more a good amount more power than the stock LS1. Personally I think the C5 has a much nicer interior than the Cobra and I think a lot of people would agree with me. There is also the insurance bonus that you mentioned earlier. If you care about mileage it is much better in the C5. Also, the FRC is a very rare car, more rare than the terminator if you care about that sort of thing. I won't mention the styling of the cars because that's personal preference.
Overall I would say if you're a drag racer you shouldn't get the FRC, if you're in to anything else I'd go FRC.
If you do decide to make the trade, I'd remove the spray from your car since a lot of people don't want a car that's been sprayed.

The Z51 suspension in the FRC isn't much worse than the Z06 suspension, most people don't have the driving skill to even need the full capabilities of the Z51 anyways so the Z06 suspension is just overkill for most people. Also, the extra power that you gain the LS6 has is negated with full bolt-ons on the FRC...and the one the OP is looking at is cammed with a FAST so it has more power than a bolt-on LS6. I just don't see why the Z is so much better in your (and many other people's mind).

Get the FRC.
Everyone wants a Cobra because of the noise, motor and they look cool.
Everyone wants a vette because they are the best car GM ever made, well rounded and work wonders on the highway
