Default new problem..whats wrong here?..help needed!

hey guys. I will make this quick. My ls1 gto has been running great since i have had it. Today I was headed to the gas station to grab a drink. The car drove great on the way there. I got my drink and got back in my car and started it. The car fired right up but stumbled and died. I started it several times to the same end. If I manually rev it, it will run and drive fine. While driving, it runs strong and pulls hard but will die when the clutch is in at a stop or while driving if I keep it in. What is going on here?

The car is a heads(243), cam (230/232), bolt on car. Mods have been on for 28,000 miles.

Help

I would start by cleaning the MAF and IAC. Sometimes carbon builds up on the IAC and stops it from working.

Good suggestions.

Do you have an SES light? Either way, I would check for stored/pending codes and misfires.

Being a modded car ads more potential causes that would be far less likely on a stock car; valvespring issues for example.

Like said above do a cleanup first. Clean the maf, could be something simple for it not wanting to idle correctly.

If the above recommendations fail you should check fuel pump pressure. I blame fuel pumps for everything, including flat tires or rips in seats...

haha... i blame fuel filters.. once it actually worked. buddy's moms kia was in the parking lot with a hose popped off the filter.

for the op, i go with cleaning also. i have had k&n's oiled filters cause build up on the sensors and cause funny problems.

I had the same problem. It ended up being a leak in the slave cylinder. If it's very bad, you might have to also replace the master cylinder. They wanted to replace both in my car but I had them replace the obvious first and see if the master needed replacing. Turns out it didn't and saved me $400. She drives like a champ now. Hope that helps.
