OK that means it has 3:23's which r fine and to run in the 7's u just need bolt-on's that i said and a Yank SS3600 Stall and some suspension, lower control arms, panhard bar and torque arm ! I had a 02 Camaro SS w/ the same stuff and ran 7.48 in the 1/8 on Nitto 555r's so u really dont need to do a cam unless u want to spend the money !!!

Definitely get a converter first...something in the 3600 range. It will give the you the biggest gains on an A4. Stall, cam with bolt-ons should get you the low-mid 7's you want.

Grab a 3200-3600 stall and that won't affect drivability at all. Most times you wont even notice it is there until you hit the gas. I had a 3200 Circle D stall and it drove completely stock until I hit the throttle. Bolt ons and a stall will hit your goals. Cam and spray will welllll exceed your goals, especially since you have an auto and don't have to worry about missing gears and shitty launches.

The lid you can find on most sponsors sites >>>>>>
Since you have an 01, you already have a LS6 intake, so you are good there. Here are some lids:
http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/catalog/air-lids/
Pretty much all lids are the same unless they are larger than stock size to fit larger TBs (which you do not need/have, so only worry about stock size stuff).
As far as the TB goes...personally, I wouldn't buy a new one until you decide to do more mods and get a different intake and then you would need a bigger TB to match it. You can find someone who is selling ported/polished TBs on here or other sites, or do it yourself. You aren't going to notice a huge gain with a P&P TB anyway.
Since you already have the exhaust done, I would grab a lid, stall and you could do an underdrive pulley if you wanted to free up some more HP. That is pretty much your limit with bolt ons. Since the previous owner did the exhaust, are you sure there isn't a lid done already? You should toss up a pic of the engine bay..

The converter is basically going to keep the car in the powerband to make you go fast. Check out the FAQs https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...questions.html and you can just read up in that forum for general info
A cam will definitely wake it up. That is an understatement. You can get a cam and stall and be in the 11's easy. Get it tuned right, and get some suspension done and a tire and be in the 10s no problem.
There is obviously a lot more to it than just throwing parts at the car, but these are great platforms to build on.
