Default Seafoamed my car today...

And didn't get any smoke. I got a bit more exhaust odor briefly but that was it.
I guess this is a good thing because the car has 91k on it and must be clean
internally, though I must admit that I was kinda looking forward to at least a small smoke show. I followed the directions in detail. Anyone else not get smoke? Just curious.

The reason that I seafoamed it was because I just purchased the car and wanted start a fresh maintenance record, plus some members have highly recommended it(car has 91k on it). The car always seemed to drive strong, so I wasn't expecting a drastic difference. Then again, I wasn't expecting practically nothing, either. While in a sense I think that it was a waste, it does help me confirm that the motor was well taken care of.

I wonder how long its gonna be till people STOP putting that stuff into their top end to clean it.....its getting hilarious now.

Go get some MCCC and you'll get the smoke show, its made for top end cleaning and actually does clean it....unlike Sea Foam.

Possible newbie/stupid question: I just changed my oil after running Seafoam in the crankcase for a bit. If I were to run the MCCC through the top end, would it be advisable to change the oil again afterwards? Also, is the MCCC bad for spark plugs? It seems that most have no issues, but some members have had plug issues with Seafoam.

No, you don't need to change the oil afterwards. I've also heard of some people having spark plug problems, but its a very rare thing.

Its just one of those things that catches on and gets popular through word of mouth, but its just not the proper product for cleaning a top end.

Example of how well it works: And he wasted alot by revving the engine the whole time while spraying it in. IDLE is what you want while spraying it in.

Here's how you spray it in with LSx engines. Post #17. Very easy, no messing around with the brake booster line and possibly cracking it off. This way it takes all of 1-2 minutes and your done. Basically the same price as a can of Sea Foam. Get it at the Dodge/Chrysler dealership.

when i did mine i put the seafoam in the crankcase, and ran it for 200 miles before changine the oil. whithin the 200 miles i used the mopar spray in the top-end like the video showed and put a can in my fuel tank. after all that, and the 200 miles, i changed the oil. that's the best way i've found to do it. it did smoke a good bit. and as said, you can get the MCCC at a chrysler dealership at the same cost as seafoam and it should work better for the top-end than the seafoam.
