Im in Florida and as yall no its HOT most of the year here.....I was gonna use the Castrol High mileage 10-30 or 10-40 .....I see alot of yall useing 5-30
My caprice has the LT1 and shes a daily driver......any pros vs cons on the 10-30 or 10-40

M1 10w30 Full Synthetic and an ACDELCO filter(I live in GA and dont need to run a 5 series)...I cut open the acdelco filter after my fist start up on the new motor (20 minutes run time) and it had gotten all the metal out from the initial start up..the second oil change (75 miles) we did there was no metal in that filter whatsoever..I find it does the job well enough and I stay away from the FRAM stuff after everyone says they have some issues....I never had any personal issues with them but some folks say they have a habit of imploding from pressure..dont know how true that is.

*** that! i used penzoil platinum!
it lowered my oil pressure, and came out black as ****! and look to have little particles in it. never had that problem with mobil.
