It was great talking to you finally! With your high flow cats, resonators and exhaust you have in place your worries with the idle characteristics will be put to bed when you hear it fire up. I am confident it will sound like the GTO that I showed you the idle clip of on Youtube while we were talking over the phone.
If you watch all the videos I have posted of any cam we've installed at our shop there is not one with audible valve train noise aside from yours. The silver GTO we did a Ai 232cc H/C package with LS7 lifters and a Stg. 2 TM on is quiet as can be. It seems to be hit or miss on the LS7 lifters.
Tooley has mentioned to me multiple times that the machining tolerances for stock lifters can vary tremendously thus allowing bleed down to occur while the engine is running. This will add substantial noise to the valve train. I've got a guy that just bought a cam package from me that is going to be using the BTR SLR lifters. I'll report back on how the valve train sounds once installed.
We're extremely backed up right now with work and getting cars out of the shop on time, but I'd like for you to bring it back to let Jonathan finish the tune for one. Then possibly try a longer push rod and/or a set of the BTR SLR lifters if the customer I mentioned above gives me some data on them that shows them to be quietier and worth the expense.

i agree. yeah I understand this time of year but can you look at the shop schedule and let me know when a good time "might" be?
i dunno about the added expense on the lifters ...Im with you I think it may be the PR's
and yeah the tune needs to be tweeked but J knows about that.

I pimp you guys out all the time around here. I was in Danville, VA with my gf at the Honda dealership sporting the T-shirt and one of the machanics was just starring at me. I threw my hands up like, wha? LOL he was checkin the shirt out and said he's heard of your shop....he was a FoRd (cobra) guy. we sat there and talked for a while.

I am changing direction with my 99 ls1 Camaro from doing custom remote mount turbo build, to trading the turbo kit for a set of PRC 225 heads milled to 60cc with .675 springs and ls6 intake, with your stage 3 sns cam. I already replaced my converter to a custom fabricated 3200 stall converter and my rear gears are still stock 3.42. wondering if that stall would still be suitable for the stage 3 cam. I see you recommend 3400 to 3600 stalls and 3.73 gears or higher.
When you cam a car, you have to understand that maintenance increases. It is normal maintenance to test your springs once a year to see if they are still within required spec range. That is the way things "should" be done. I normally change my springs regardless after every 30K miles. I've had sets where only some were tired so I keep the good ones in case of a breakdown on raceday. BTW, I've seen duals in worse shape than singles (to say that one should check all springs and not assume that if they had duals they are automatically safe.
